Provide Advice on Furniture Products (Synchronous E-learning)

Course Content:
This course provides a good understanding of the skills, knowledge and trends associated with a retail operation in a furniture industry. Learners will be equipped with the fundamental knowledge of the furniture retail scene and develop skills in providing advice for the selection and care of furniture products.

Course Objectives:
At the end of each learning unit, the learner will be able to:

• Identify the current furniture trend and understand the local retail scene
• Basic Know-how: various types, categories, styles and materials of furniture
• Engaging your customers and establishing rapport through effective communication techniques
• Be inquisitive- ask the right questions to uncover customers’ needs!
• Making sales propositions that lead to purchase decisions
• Effective steps in anticipating and handling customers’ objections
• Understand the type of care and maintenance required for different types of furniture products
• Ways to rectify reparable damage done on furniture products
• Provide advice to customers on essential furniture care

To be eligible for funding, company-sponsored staff attending courses must be employed by company, and company also contributes CPF to staff.
– Foreigners may attend short courses but are not entitled to course fee subsidy and absentee payroll funding.

– Absentee payroll claimable ($4.50 per hour).
